It is of good news that a tyrant like Berlusconi is no exception from the Law. Unfortunately the old man’s plans got thwarted this time.
Regardless of his status as the prime minster of Italy, and much like many other millionaire or should we say billionaire businessmen in power, Berlusconi has long forgotten the real reason why he is in office: the Italian people…
The people that are in real need, the children, the sick, the homeless and so on.
In a way he is a more embarrassing representative for his country than Bush was for the US. Berlusconi is arrogant, egotistical, and blatantly puts his personal greed an agenda ahead of his national duties; a characteristic, which Bush showed lesser inclination towards.
With excessive wealth, power (especially over the Italian media), illusive fame, ownership of a multi-million dollar football club of AC Milan and the perpetual sex, fraud, and corruption charges, the Italian people should, for their own good, rid their country’s faith from his filthy hands.
Berlusconi has been just another puppet and representative of the neo-conservative policies in Europe and with his removal, not only Italy but the world will hopefully be a safer place. Amen!
